Majestic makes two varieties of MLB jerseys. There's the Official Replica (such as this item), and the Authentic. Upon first look, both of the versions look very similar. But the quality difference is more evident upon further inspection.
With that said, I'm still very happy with my purchase of this Official Replica Home Jersey. It's fit is true to size, and it looks slick when I'm at Safeco supporting my team. And when it comes down to it, it's well worth the comparatively lower price. This is especially true considering Amazon tends to additionally reduce the price well below MSRP. But in the presence of an Authentic jersey, one can see the stitching and patches are lower quality. The "MARINERS" across the front is only two separate patches. Whereas the Authentic Jersey has stitching around each letter.
These differences are largely trivial. And if you're like most people, the incredibly high price of the Authentic Jersey just isn't worth it. These Official Replicas have the look of the real thing without breaking the bank.

Purchased two of these and was very happy with the quality for the price. The tag does say for "decoration" and I haven't run it through the wash yet but it is very heavy material.

I was concerned about replica vs. authentic, but I really like the quality on this item and have had fun wearing it for knocking around on weekends.
